The Flood Warning continues for the Neches River Near Neches.

* At 9:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 12.9 feet.

* Flood stage is 12 feet.

* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:30 AM CDT Thursday was 12.9 feet.

* Forecast...The Neches River is expected to fall to 12.4 feet Tuesday morning.

* Impact...At 12.0 feet, Expect minor lowland flooding of the heavily wooded floodplain. Ranchers that may have livestock and equipment in the river bottoms should move them to higher ground. Expect minor flooding of the boat ramp. &&

Instructions: Do not drive cars through flooded areas. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. * Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage Sunday morning and continue falling to 11.8 feet Sunday evening.

Fishing Report from TPWD (Apr. 21)

GOOD. Water stained; 64 degrees; 0.93 high. Largemouth bass are good working top waters, skirted jigs, flipping jigs, flukes, lizards, and chatter baits near points, creek, and coves. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs around docks, bridge columns, and timber in a creek or drop-off. Hybrid stripers are good on live bait, A-rigs, and swimbaits. White bass are good on rooster tails, swimbaits, and spoons in creeks and main lake humps and ridges. Catfish are good on punch bait, shrimp, and cut bait.
