* At 10:15 AM Wednesday The stage was 16.4 feet.

* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.

* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 16.4 feet by this afternoon then begin falling.

* Impact...at 16.0 feet...Expect flooding of low river bottoms with secondary roadways along with picnic and recreational areas becoming inundated as well. Ranchers should move cattle and equipment to higher ground. &&

Lake Palestine Fishing Report from TPWD (Dec. 5)

Water lightly stained; 49–51 degrees; 0.27’ high. Black bass are good on shakeyhead worms, black and blue jigs and bladed jigs. Crappie are good on minnows and white jigs. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs and minnows. White bass are good on slabs and minnows. Catfish are good on trotlines.
