Night fishing ... sinker slide .... requires no retying to put on a different sinker.
Bottom fishing a river or lake ...
8/0 hook, bead, then a sliding 8 oz. egg sinker ... really good when you want want the bait to drop straight down from the boat into a brush pile. A bad thing about this rig is you can expect to hang up regularly.
